Playing handpan music in London

As a handpan and tongue drum musician. In 2017 I composed, performed and curated the music performance "walking on the lake" (music + video + poem). Since 2017, I have started a series of music performances, created the soundtracks for a film and the theatres. I  performed the music shows in London from 2020 until now, composing handpan music with the poems for the art events and the fashion show.

seemanho received Local Heroes Award 2013

seemanho is awarded with the Local Heroes Award 2013 by Mingpao Weekly Magazine.

In this year, she has been back and forth to Mui Wo, working on the conservation of 16 cattle. Her mission is: the local cattle can be save and free to stay in their original place, and harmony coexistence community of cattle and neighbourhood.

二犬十一咪保育牛行動，被選為明報周刊本年「Local heros 2013」。
這一年南丫梅窩來來回回，遇上怪罵化成請教。遇到困難不退避，讓問題化怨為諒。每次回家一腳牛屎，目標始終如一：「社區牛平安自由活到老，人牛共融。」

牙香樹（學名：Aquilaria sinensis）

又名土沉香、女兒香及白木香，屬於瑞香科土沉香屬，是香港原生稀有的雙子葉植物。屬易危品種，被列入中國國家二級保護野生樹種。

 

近年土沉香在香港遭到大量偷伐，然後偷渡回內地及國外加工。樹，連同樹上生物一起死亡，再賣給香港人作為供佛修行之用....

沒有微笑的海豚

「她對我微笑，我讓她快樂！」
誤會了，海豚沒有向你笑，這只屬個人投射。海豚臉部肌肉本來如此，並不是微笑表情。

豚意謂豬，本是跟人親密的生物，沒有豬，不成家。屋簷內一隻豬，家完整了。海中豚，就是海洋最親近人的生物。如果沒有海豚，香港不會完整。你問何解？大部份香港成長的，也到過海洋公園，看海豚表演，見公園內海豚標誌及紀念品。幸福有海豚份。更重要，海豚另一香港身份，是香港回歸吉祥物。官方以中華白海豚於浪花嬉戲，象徵香港人之活力及胸懷。

我們的中華白海豚，正面臨被機場第三條跑道斷糧、阻路及逼遷。而海洋公園樽鼻海豚，正被禁錮、「自願」ＯＴ、餵食抗生素、２４小時浸泡在氯水與藥水中、被逼親友分離，勞累一生。自然界，海豚平均能活到４０多歲，被困主題公園及從事動物表演的，壽命平均降至６－８歲。他們游泳速度可達每小時12海里以上，定時需要上水呼吸，所以喜歡跳出水面。在公園內，只有數百呎水池，轉來轉去，也談不上游泳。顯而易見，公園海豚的一生，是活於不正常環境，身心病態。

我們的海洋公園，內有１６條海豚，只有７條訓練作表演，５女２男。７條勞工工作範圍不只表演，親親海豚收費活動，也是由他們包辦。其餘９條則一直被關起，作繁殖及硏究用途。公關小姐告訴我，海洋公園內其實沒有動物表演！小姐把雜技訓練，說成是護理訓練；表演活動，說只是展示活動。野生海豚在母親懷中被擄走，送到公園工作，公關小姐說，這是一種生態保育及教育市民。

教育市民騎劫孩子？這是香港人的海洋公園。公園自１９７７年落成至今，如果沒有香港政府以極低租金，租出大片土地，他們才沒有動物表演呢！低租金的條件，是公園必須履行「教育」及「娛樂」市民之功能，要為香港市民負責。７海豚勞工，一直面對欠薪、膳食欠佳、住劏房、失自由，被剝削自尊。財團現在更逼迫加時工作、以教育之名去賺大錢，不正是香港今天生活縮影？躺在舞台、倒立氹轉、跳上台讓觀眾撫摸，被人騎背，當然沒有生態教育用途。海豚離開水面，會增加海豚內臟壓力，７海豚當然也不會自願進行。
生命被禁錮於一個沒法選擇的空間，除非出走，都沒有其他選擇。大家早已經明白，唯有繼續表演，繼續生活，以不屬於自己「自然行為」之馬戲表演，混一口腥魚來充飢。

港鐵快將直達海洋公園門前了，公園入場人次已經超過400萬。７條海豚勞工，當然不會微笑。就算哭，我們知識所限，也不會懂。曾帶著興奮心情，一年至少去一次海洋公園。有時買件紀念品送友人，也算是美好時光。但伴隨馴養海豚所出現之道德問題，表演訓練虐待情況，馬戲及動物園讓野生動物出現精神病，違反自然等。這事情傷害了不少香港人的心。

主題公園不能讓我們真正了解生物，因為其身處之環境首先已經不自然。行為也必定非正常，甚至已經患精神病。不管海豚、海狗、雀鳥還是企鵝，真正要保育之，應該把他們送回自然，保持距離，不作打擾。不只香港，自然保育觀念不文明的地區，還有很多動物表演及動物園。如果要停止，想幫忙，我們只需要從此不再去，不要看。

不去主題公園，我們還有中華白海豚。但這回歸吉祥物，隨著市民心中怨氣，正一條一條地消失。現只餘下７５條，發展政策卻依然漠視他們。興建機場第三條跑道，會讓唐朝已經在香港生活的中華白海豚，失去棲息地，覓食空間及休息路線被封鎖。就像逼香港窮人回鄉下生活一樣，中華白海豚不久便要遷移，或是死亡擱淺。

象徵香港吉祥之物，快將消失在我們這一代人手裡。我們打算親自送走香港人的好運，真是不得了！

In the past week I collected wastage with Chinese University students,
I created the 2nd stage of installation “You see me, I see you. Same as me, same as you.” , “Gifts from Lamma island(rubbish bin)”and “Dinner for development” .
For CU students, after 3 hours of improvisatorial installation, they created <you see what I see>及<樹． 回 禮 >, in reply to the exhibition.
Thankful for their participation.

在過去一星期跟中大同學共同收集廢物,

A quiet work. 獨個兒靜靜的造。

Cat is nearing the end of life,
Borrow a few hours from her.
At the night before the closing performance,
Being on-site alone ,
Getting  well prepared for tomorrow's performers,
and for every participants,
Presenting a gift in return.

貓兒生命進入尾聲，
向她借來數小時。
閉幕演出前的晚上，
獨自進場，
好好為明天的表演者，
也為參與其中的人，
回禮。

Looking forward 心中期待

 

On the coming Saturday,

after one week of wastage collection,

all the items will depart from Chinese University,

getting off to Central Star Ferry Pier.

An improvisatorial installation,

interacting with performance afterward,

the exhibition is always changeable and sustainable,

experimenting with an improvisational spirit,

predominant by objects.

Randomly and accidentally,

less constraint, more possibilities,

within the four hours of setting up time,

wastages interacting with the venue,

performers basing on the exhibition concept,

jamming and crossing over.

On 30th Oct, at the Central Star Ferry Pier no. 7 & 8, an improvisatorial installation interacting with performance at 4:30pm.

這個星期六，

早上十一時，

經過一星期廢料收集，

各東西便從中大出發，

下卸於天星展場。

展覽繼續變化，

試以一種即興精神，

由物件主導。

即興裝置，

創造展覽現場，

及後與演出互動。

隨機突然，

不作太多預設。

四小時內，

把廢料互動空間，

演出者跟據展覽文字，

互相逆流碰撞。

10月30日，即興裝置與演出互動。於天星碼頭７－８號地下，四時半發生。
